Who am I trying to help?

customers

I want to help people who value lifelong learning, at work and at school regardless if they’re novices or experts, or somewhere in between.

What problem am I trying to solve?

problem-1

These people share a common problem – learning and teaching becomes very hard when there’s too much information and too little time.

Why is this a problem?

problem-2

At work or at school, experts or novices – we’re busy people.

When we’re learning, we need to understand and process a lot of information in a limited time.

When we’re teaching we need need to convey a lot of information concisely in a limited time and make sure others get it.

So, when we’re too busy, and there’s too much information and too little time, we can get overwhelmed and that can lead to even more problems.

We misunderstand each other, we make mistakes, we get poor results, we miss expectations, we lose credibility, confidence.

How do people solve this right now?

existing-alternatives

Now, the fear of the unknown, the fear of failure and the fear of missing out – these are age-old problems.

And we’ve been solving them with many, many solutions that already exist in the real world.

Traditional

We attend schools and universities and dedicate years of our lives to just learning.

Free

There’s free information at our fingertips — Google, YouTube, Wikipedia, SlideShare, StackOverflow, the list goes on.

E-learning Platforms

We have e-learning platforms like LinkedIn Learning, Pluralsight, ACloudGuru, the list goes on.

Bite-sized Learning

More recently, micro-learning apps like Blinkist, getAbstract, readinGraphics have come to the fore.

Where do I come in?

uvp

I want to provide illustrated bite-sized notes for busy people.

AKA, Blinkist - for visual learners.

How do I stand out?

key-features

The product that I want to create has to achieve three key goals.

Visualise the big picture right away

Discover how details fit together layer by layer

The best way to learn is to teach it to somebody else

What’s the plan?

early-adopters

Here’s how I’m going to reach out to my customers:

1. Work with experts first

Experts have two things I don’t have:

  • Content
  • Students

2. Leverage expert’s access to novices
